Anet, you sure you want to go this route? A cheerful, boistrous spear-thrower with a big afro?

There's a limit to how much you can control what the player-base does. People will be idiots and racists on their own, but do you really want to embrace stereotype like this as part of the story?

I think you should be striving to have characters that represent the way that all kinds of people on the planet look- even idealized. In that sense, its great to see non-white character models. However, this sure seems like toxic territory based on the initial representation of "Koss".

Let's face it: there is a huge difference between doing a fictional, stylized Asian world and a fictional stylized "African" one. The choice of combining a spear-throwing character with a dark-skined character is just on its face a poor one.

Am I right that a dark skin model like this will now be available for all character classes? Or just the Michael Jackson-dancing, spear-throwing Paragon?

I'm eager to participate in the upcoming Nightfall preview event. I hope my initial impressions about "Koss" are proved wrong.

Don't start with the racist stuff again.

Also; I think Koss may actually be a Warrior. The order of the Sunspears does have professions other than Paragons amongst their ranks.

We don't need another thread on racism in Nightfall. All previous ones have turned into flame wars. Its just not necessary to go through it again.
